In October 2020 Raynier granted $500,000 to Drexel University to implement the Raynier Foundation Investment Fund to Support Minority Entrepreneurship, in collaboration with the University City Science Center. The Fund will improve access to capital for underrepresented entrepreneurs by making direct investments in startups founded by these entrepreneurs. As a result of investments from the Fund, underrepresented entrepreneurs will be able to accelerate the capital formation and improve their chances for securing enough capital to scale. Secondly, the investments from the Fund will increase the diversity of the Philadelphia innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem.
