Khambatta Dance Company

Founded in New York in 1990 and based in Seattle since 2001, Khambatta Dance Company (KDC) supports intercultural dialogue and choreographic innovation through performances, residencies, and community engagement. Its cornerstone event, the Seattle International Dance Festival (SIDF), began in 2006 and now presents 150+ artists from around the world over a 9-day period. SIDF features renowned international artists alongside Seattle-based creators, elevating local work in a global context and nurturing the regional dance ecosystem.

In October 2025, Raynier granted $280,000 for The James Ray Residency and Touring Exchange Project + the International Center for Contemporary Dance and Home of Khambatta Dance Company (1710 Broadway Expansion Initiative)
