Community Volunteers in Medicine

In November 2023, Raynier invested $350,000 in CVIM’s Expanding Access to Care Initiative, which is designed to increase healthcare services available to community members who fall through the gap in the local healthcare infrastructure and have nowhere else to turn for care. This strategic initiative will reduce barriers to care by adding new locations, expanding hours, and increasing transportations services. Growth in staffing, volunteer recruitment, and community partnerships will address waiting lists for growing community needs such as women’s health, vision care, dental services, and mental health counseling.

Community Volunteers in Medicine (CVIM) delivers free, compassionate, high-quality medical services, dental care, behavioral healthcare, and medications to low-income, uninsured workers and their families in the Chester County, PA region. Services are provided by over 325 skilled volunteers who donate their time and professional services. CVIM brings together volunteers, donors, and partners to help patients live healthy, productive lives and to assure health equity in the Chester County region. Virtually all of CVIM’s revenue comes from philanthropy.
