Independence Mission Schools

In October 2021, Raynier granted $250,000 to Independence Mission Schools (IMS) to support “Creating an Exemplary Student and Family Experience Through the Reimagining Our Future: Independence Mission Schools 2026 Strategic Plan.”

The Independence Mission Schools network is a group of 14 Catholic elementary schools which serve nearly 4,000 students from families that are at or near the poverty level across the city of Philadelphia and in Delaware County. IMS schools are unified by a central mission to provide a transformative Catholic education to children of all faiths in low-income neighborhoods across the city of Philadelphia. Their unique model brings together a group of former parish elementary schools into a thriving independent network that is working to provide access to high-quality education to thousands of inner-city children.
